The name of the town is most likely derived from its geographic position: it towers over four different valleys, the most important one being the Belbo River Valley. Renown for the cultivation of the Langa del Sole’s most prized foods, hazelnuts, honey, mushrooms, cattle and sheep, Serravalle is also home to succulent field strawberries.
